Photography Seminar: Fools Rush In @Bathhouse Studios – April 1st, 2010

Contaminate NYC is please to support WIN-Initiative and the New York chapter of the Advertising Photographers of America (APA|NY) in presenting ‘Fools Rush In’, a one-day photography seminar on April 1, 2010 organized in collaboration with Contaminate NYC and sponsored by SONY. This one day dedicated to the photography will be a great opportunity to meet professionals from Advertising, Communications, and Event Management Organizations.

Held at the Bathhouse Studios in the East Village, the event kicks off with a portfolio review, where attendees can have one-on-one reviews of their work by esteemed members of the photography community. Each attendee will have three 15-minute sessions with the likes of Patrick Casey (Creative Director of Marge Casey + Associates), Pulitzer Prize-winning Photo Editor Stella Kramer, Alison Zavos (Publisher/Managing Editor of photo blog Feature Shoot) and Dripbook.com co-founder and Creative Director Alex Wright, among other notable names.

A moderated panel dubbed ‘The Bright Future’ will follow the portfolio reviews. Focusing on the state of photography and its imminent changes, the panel will include some of the notable reviewers as well as other prominent leaders in the field.

‘Fools Rush In’ will also feature a marketplace, allowing for key sponsors to interact with participants and demonstrate how their products can better serve them. The list of sponsors include SONY, Bron Imaging Group, Agency Access, Blinkbid and Duggal, who will be showcasing recent work from local WIN and Contaminate NYC talent.

Food, beer and wine will be available during the seminar, and musical performances by bands: Live Footage, The Bill Murray Experience and jazz singer Silvia Cecchetti will keep the party going.

Ticket prices are available in two brackets. All day attendees pay $60 (or $50 for WIN Talent and APA members), which includes the portfolio reviews, panel discussions, creative marketplace, the exhibition and a VIP Pass. VIP Pass holders have access to the VIP lounge where they can mingle with prtfolio reviewers and speakers.
